The mining environment across Africa is often demanding in terms of dust, heat and moisture making our dry-type transformer solutions a fit-for-purpose and reliable option. Both on surface and underground.

Safety is a key consideration, especially in designated hazardous areas. With no oil to pose an explosion or fire hazard, our dry-type transformers, including either cast resin or VPI technology, are even safe for use in coal mines and collieries.

With the extensive use of variable speed drives (VSD) in mining infrastructure, we provide specially designed transformers that can reliably accommodate high non-linear loads. We also offer multi-secondary transformers for large mill applications.
